25th February
Heat 1 - When I was in the pits, the pit co ordinator came because I was late, I couldn't get my harness on! I went well, although the car was hot from the parade beforehand. On the first corner of my third lap, I spun out. That was not very scary, but I was very pissed off, I just got scared by facing the infield and overcorrected, and faced the concrete wall, I hit the brakes and spun around.
Heat 2 - Nothing really exciting, no major drama's. I was still so slow. I couldn't work out why. It must be my driving style!
Heat 3 - Haha I was happy after this! Brandt Pears had a feul problem, so there were only three of us in the race! An automatic third for me! Yay! I get my name in the newspaper!
Feature - Well, I had fun... I had a little tangle with Kyle Cutts.. and a dent! :(
4th March
Heat 1 - Wow! The track was so slippery! At the start Kyle and Pearsy smashed into eachother! Then after a while I overtook Pears! But he got me back and I stayed close. Bryn Cutts loved it! He controled his car really well and lapped us all.
Heat 2 - No problems... I am getting the hang of this!
Heat 3 - I got a better start than Pearsy... but only held it for about half a lap... when he overtook me back Wham Bam into my side! I nearly lost it into the wall. All was fine from then on until I got the white flag (one lap to go), and I came in too fast, went out wide, and hit a hole, I lost it and went straight for the wall. I turned and hit the brakes, I did a 180 and hit the wall. Dad couldn't stop laughing at me as I pulled back into the pits!
Feature - I was very happy with this race! No dents, and I felt that I had complete control of the car... I still came last though! :(
25th March -
Heat 1 - Very interesting! At the start I was coming first, then second! We made it to canteen corner and then Bryn Cutts and I hit, I went out wide to avoid more trouble and Bryn let back a little only to meet his big brother Kyle. Kyle's car spun around and he rolled about 4 times, landing on his side. I said that I never wanted that to happen to me... that would be a nightmare!
Heat 2 - Very funny! I was behing Bryn... coming second, and I pushed him aroung the corner, I knew that I didn't have enough speed to overtake him, so I sped him up so that Pearsy didn't catch up too fast, bumper to bumper hahaha.
Heat 3 -Oooh Are you sure that you wanna know about this one??? Okay we started the race, I was first (as usual!) and at the first corner Pearsy and I hit, he spun out and I kept going for about 50 metres (aprox 50 yards) and spun out too, I hit the mud and spun out real bad! We got a comlete re-start. All was fine until after the white flag. On the far straight I just lost control! I don't know how, It was in exactly the same place as I spun before, but this time I hit the ditch while sliding sideways, from there I had like a 'mental blank' I honestly don't know what happened! But I opened my eyes and there was the clay surface infront of my eyes, and I was about 6 inches off the seat, dangling by my harness! I don't know why, I wasn't hurt, but I just burst out in tears. I was wondering about how the car was and how pissed Dad would be. I saw the orange flashing lights reflect off something and a guy crawled into the car. He spent 10 minutes telling me to calm down and that he and a few other people from the rescue crew were going to roll the car over from his side. They finally rolled the car over and I took my neck brace off, then my helmet, I was doing it fast and they were all telling me to calm down! I got out of the car and everyone clapped. I was taken to the ambulance for a medical check that seemed to take forever. I was glad to get out, and to go get something to eat!
Feature - Damn! They cancelled it! They thought that I wasn't going to race, so there would only be two cars... but Dad and some other drivers and teams helped fix it. But they wouldn't change their minds, so we loaded it onto the trailer. Bryn said that he was glad that they cancelled it, he thought that it might have been his turn next!
15th April -
Heat 1 - :) There were lotsa cars! We had 3 visitors. At the start Pearsy was comming 3rd and I was coming 4th. I was coming towards him really really fast and tried to overtake him from the inside. My car pushed against his as we went around the corner and suddenly he spun out! Then I had nobody to lean on and I lost control onto the infield. The car was this close to tipping! It was on a 45° angle and just sat there for like 2 seconds! I was holdin' on tight! Anywayz the Chief Steward decided that the whole incident was my fault and I was sent to the rear of field for a complete restart (We had not yet completed a lap). So then we took off and cause I had rear of field I was coming last. After a while I overtook someone... but when there was like two laps left he got me! DAMN IT!
Heat 2 - I was absolutely flogging my car, I got back into the pits and you should have seen the steam pour from the radiator!
Heat 3 - I was goin' alright... but then I saw the orange temperature light and got a little worried... IT WAS BRIGHT!!! So I pulled off... :( a NF... Not Finished.
Feature -I started last however I had an excellent start! I crawled up to 3rd and smashed into Lowe's (Lowe is an 11yr old racer from Bunbury) side as an 'Outa My Way I Am Commin Throu' warning. But as always I stuffed it up and lost!!!
